The large sieve and its applications

You should vote at thebookseller.com for Emmanuel Kowalski's The Large Sieve and its Applications, which has been shortlisted for the "Diagram Prize for Oddest Book Title of the Year". (Apparently "large sieve" sounds like it has something to do with cooking, if you're not a mathematician.)

Well, really you should vote for which title you think is the oddest (and the one about "fromage frais" looks much odder to me...; though neither would have held a candle to last year's grand winner of the prize celebrating the oddest title in 30 years: "Greek Rural Postmen and their Cancellation Numbers").

Quick question about Pi Day...in 2015, will the 'official' celebration of pi day be at 9:26 instead? I.e. 3-14-15 9:26. Or do we have to vote at an MAA convention first?

Hello. My wife and I bought our house about 6 months ago. It was a foreclosure and we were able to get a great deal on it. We also took advantage of the 8K tax credit so that definitely helped. We did an extensive remodeling job and now I want to refinance to cut the term to a 20 or 15 year loan. Does anyone know any good sites for mortgage information? Thanks!
